When my good friend Rhiannon said she was cooking Crumbed Sausages for dinner one night, a flood of memories came back to me from my childhood. I instantly remembered my mum and dad getting us Crumbed Sausages from the local takeaway fish and chip shop. It was my absolute favorite thing to get from there. So much so, that I can still remember clearly waiting in the back of the car with my sister, for one of my parents to walk out of the shop with those yummy delights! If your on a budget and looking for something different, sausages are a great option and crumbed are great for something different.
- 8 x Sausages
- 1/4 Cup Of Water
- 1 x Egg
- 3/4 Cup Of Flour
- 1 x Cup Of Bread Crumbs
- Pinch Of Salt & Pepper
- Paper Towel
- 2 x Tablespoons Of Oil
Method:
1. Cook your sausages in a hot pan as you normally would. Remove, put aside and wash out pan ready to use again.
2. In a bowl beat egg and ¼ cup of water together. In a second bowl mix flour, bread crumbs, salt & pepper.
3. Dip each sausage into your egg mix, then into your bread crumbs and then get together on a plate. Don’t start cooking until all are coated to do at the same time.
4. Heat your oil in the pan. On a medium heat place all sausages in gently. Cook well in the oil and turn when your underside has browned. Once cooked drain any excess oil by plating sausages on some paper towel
Serve with your choice vegetables.
