The year seems to be going so fast already! So it's March already and time for another Meal Plan With Me video. In todays video I am going extended detail on the steps I take when Im meal planning my fortnight/month. I havn't done a detailed video like this for a long time, so I thought it was time with so many new VIP's and subscribers on the YouTube channel! This video is a 'VIP Early Release' video and will appear to the public some time after.
You will not only hear how I do my process but you will see the printables I use. These printables are FREE for all VIP members, by simply selecting them in the shop here on the website and then entering your special code at checkout. They are an instant download and ready for you to print once you have saved them to your computer.
When your watching todays video (especially if you have not seen me do this before), you may think to yourslef that it is too much work. That it will take too much time. That its not worth the trouble. I will tell you now that it is 300% worth the time and trouble! To begin with it will take some time of coarse, but once you do it a few times and get a handle on things, you will get faster at doing it and you will soon start seeing the benifits .... especially financially. I now spend thousands of dollars less per year than I did before I was doing such a indepth process to my meal planning.
My current grocery budget is $70 per person ages 14 years + and $50 under 14 years, for the main grocery shop in the first week of my fortnight and $70 for the top up shop in the second week. The top up shop I base off my budget per person in the first week. As a family of 4 that is a total of $310 for the fortnight for food, drinks, toiletries, cleaning products etc anything you buy in a grocery store. I feel no matter where you are living in Australia - city, country or coastal states - it's a fair $ goal for your budget. However if you worry about starting this low, then perhaps increase it by $10 per person to begin with and work from there to see if you can reduce in a few weeks time.
So be sure to watch the matching grocery haul to see if I stay under budget !
