Its time for school to go back so its all about getting organised for that and stocking up my empty empty food areas! I've also brought out the 'Lunch Box Meal Planning' printable's to plan Josephs school lunches efficiently. Using this saves so much time and money, so If you have never attempted lunch box meal planning I would highly recommend you give it a go this new school year! - Don't forget to check out the 'How To make Freezer Sandwiches' video too for an extra time saver!
This month its still hot hot hot here in Australia, so I'm all about doing simple bbq meats with salads. We LOVE salads they are so fresh and tasty so I love when summer comes and we have this tasty meal idea. I like to make around 3 different ones with also my normal garden salad we always have in the fridge. They usually last around 3-4 days and then I mix it up and do something different again. You can see some of my simple salad recipes already on the VIP Lounge and more to come over the next few weeks :)
So for February I have a set budget of $300 for this months big grocery shop plus my usual $50 per week extras budget (usually adds up to $150 by the end of the month). So that would be a total of $450 for the entire month and just under $115 per week on average for our family of 4.
Tools I used to do my meal planning were:
