My December 2018 monthly meal plan is here! There are a few things going on this month, the obvious two being Christmas and summer school holidays starting! In regards to Christmas we are not going to be here for the day, but I will need to make something to take to where we are going. This really wont be effecting my meal plan to be anything drastic. In the past however for Christmas I have used a specific sheet to plan for the day in which I will talk about in another video for you guys, so keep an eye out here on the VIP lounge for it!
So just to update you last month went pretty well coming back to monthly grocery shopping. We were away for a while through teh month so it was hard to get a realistic look at my spending, but I would say I would have spent an extra $50 per week as part of my 'extras budget' at the end of each week for extra fresh fruit and veggies, things I ran out of or specials I saw. So in total I spent around $500 for the whole month - $125 per week on average so that was amazing!
This month I'm looking to hit the same $$$. I think I will need to definitely budget for $50 per week for the extras budget (even if I do not spend it all) and have set a $300 budget for the big monthly shop. So far I'm around $20 over budget just estimating my grocery list, so If that is the case I will take anything over the $300 out of the extras budget.

I cant stress how much more simple my life is these days by using the tools above and meal planning ahead. It saves me sooooooo much money and time. I have more time for my family and I'm so happy about that because previously I felt so overwhelmed with not spending any quality time and missing out on all the fun!
