When I was a child summer BBQs was my absolute favorite! There is nothing quite like a BBQ sausage or hamburger, so when I became an adult of coarse I wanted to continue eating that tasty past time. These Homemade Hamburger Patties are so simple and delicious to make you can do it on the day right before you cook or do ahead of time and freeze.

Ingredients: Makes 12-15

  • 1x kg Mince Beef
  • 1x Cup Of Grated Carrot
  • 1x Cup Of Grated Zucchini
  • 1x Small Onion Diced
  • 2 x Teaspoon Of Vegeta
  • 3x Tablespoons Of Worcestershire Sauce

Method:

1. Wash and grate carrots & zucchini. Peel and dice a small onion. Mix all 3 together on a chopping board and dice smaller with a good chopping knife.

2. In a large bowl add in mince. With a wooden spoon break up the mince so it’s easier to mix in the other ingredients. Add in your carrot, onion and zucchini. Mix through evenly. Add in vegeta and Worcestershire sauce and mix well.

If you would like to freeze some of these hamburger patties prepare baking paper to put between patties. Cut baking paper in squares the width/size your planning to make each.

3. With clean hands take some of the mince mix, firmly squash into a ball then flatten gently to make a round hamburger pattie approx 2cm thick.

4. If freezing place on a piece of your prepared baking paper. Keep stacking with baking paper between. Your should be able to do 5-6 high. Store either in a well sealed container or freezer bag.

5. Heat oil in a pan or prepare your bbq. Cook until cooked through, turning as needed.

Serve either with a side of vegetable/salad or in bread rolls with salad as a prepared hamburger.
