With summer here fresh corn cobs is regularly on our menu! For a great twist try this Garlic Butter Corn Cob recipe either on your bbq or in the pan.
Ingredients: Makes 6
- 6 x Corn Cobs
- 50g Of Butter (room temperature)
- 3 x Teaspoons Of Minced Garlic
- 2 x Teaspoons Of Flat Leaf Parsley (chopped)
Method:
1. Peel and wash your corn cobs.
2. Mix together your butter, minced garlic and parsley with a butter knife.
Cooking On A BBQ
Preheat your bbq. Using a butter knife smear your garlic butter on all sides of each corn cob. Place on the grilling side and cook 5 – 8 minutes, turning often to ensure they do not burn.
Cooking In The Kitchen
Cook your corn cobs either in a vegetable steamer or pot of water on the stove top. Once cooked, set aside on a plate. Pre heat a large frying pan. Reduce to a medium heat and place melt all of your garlic butter in the pan. Place each corn cob into the pan turning in the butter to ensure all sides are covered. Turn up your heat and cook for 3 – 5 minutes. Keep turning to ensure they do not burn.
Tip: Double or triple your garlic butter mix and freeze the extra in smaller portions to use later.
